Varsity Letter Requirements
The following is a list of ways that a swimmer can earn her varsity letter.
1. Average 2 points in each dual meet that our team competes in this season. Points scored in an invitational or a relay meet do not count toward a varsity letter.
2. Compete on one of our team’s A or B relays at the Kensington Lakes Conference Meet.
3. Qualify for the MISCA or Division 1 State Meet.
4. Qualify individually in the Kensington Lakes Championship Meet in either prelims or finals.
5. Finish a third season as a member of our team in good standing.
Any of the above options will result in the swimmer earning her varsity letter. This is assuming that the swimmer completes the season in good standing. “Good standing” indicates that the swimmer meets all the requirements to be on the team and that she finishes the season (including the state meet if the swimmer qualified). Any swimmer who does not complete the season due to academic ineligibility, discipline issues, or attendance issues should assume she will not earn her letter.
